Terberg Connect is a world first in the waste management industry by utilizing Industry 4.0 technology to enable two-way remote diagnostics and maintenance operations for all key components of the complete waste collection vehicle.
Central to how users interact with Terberg Connect is the concept of a ‘digital twin’, we reimagine our physical hardware systems with a virtual on-screen counterpart, accessible via our online interface. Our digital twin presents clear pictures of your RCVs with all relevant parameters of the bin lift, body and chassis.
This information is a valuable tool for managers, in-house mechanics, and Terberg’s service department. It doesn’t matter if that person is 10,000 kms away or across the yard, it is like they are standing next to the machine connected via a cable.
Visual diagnosis simplifies troubleshooting to increase uptime and provides efficient repair options. The user interface uses digital twin technology to show the status of the physical hardware on your screen. The current information of more than 300 signals of all important components are displayed.
Real-time fleet management, resulting in optimal use of the fleet:
Each automatic bin lift and RCV is fitted with a Terberg Connect hardware module, a perfect example of ‘edge computing’ where computation of data is performed closer to the source of data.
Terberg Connect hardware is extremely durable, built to automotive specifications, certified to operate from -40°C to 85°C with a dust and water resistance rating of IP67 and is EMC tested.
The module contains a dedicated microprocessor and memory to pull in, process and transmit vehicle data via mobile networks to our secure servers. Interaction with the hardware and the data collected is via our dedicated user interface developed to work via a web browser on your PC or tablet.
